SUGAR BOWL’S “WORKING MAN WEDNESDAY” TERRAIN PARK SERIES KICKS OFF JANUARY 13, FIRST COMPETITION HELD ON SKICROSS/BOARDER-X TRAINING COURSE

(Donner Summit, CA) – Designed for local terrain park enthusiasts who work on weekends, Sugar Bowl’s “Working Man Wednesday” terrain park series competition will get underway this January 13th with a “Full Pull” competition on the new skicross/boarder-x start gate training features at the base of the Jerome Hill lift. Skiers and riders will go solo in the first heat, simply needing to complete the course in order to advance to the next round. The second round will see two racers at once trying to complete the course, then the third round with three racers, and finally the fourth and final round with four racers maneuvering the course together. The final skier or rider to complete the course the most without falling wins the competition. Prizes for the series include items from Skull Candy, Capix Helmets, Palmer Skis, Line, Capita, Armada, Union, Gregory Backpacks, Mission Six, Rossignol Snowboards and more.

Working Man Wednesday is open to all ages, both male and female. Cost to enter is $15 and does not include lift ticket, with entries taken for each competition from 12:00pm to 1:00pm day of race, at the sign-up table by the fireplace in the Judah Lodge. Helmets are mandatory, and additional prizes will be awarded for the best NASCAR or day-glo racing attire.

Dedicated to creating a fun and competitive terrain park series while promoting and educating the public on Smart Style terrain park etiquette, Working Man Wednesday has proven to be a popular series in the Tahoe area. Entering its second season, additional series dates this season will be February 17th and March 17th, with differing styles and formats of competition to be announced at a later date.
